We are at the end of the series, I tried to show a little bits of what you can do in Windows 11, and pick up maybe some new things you didn’t know. Windows 11 is really powerful OS, and is like a Swiss knife, if only a bit cleaner (bloatware, ads…), it would be perfect. Let’s go through final recommendations
Let’s start with few recommendations of what else you should check out, and maybe try and install
# Microsoft Store
Consider when looking for apps you use, a lot of them are now accessible through MS STORE – VLC, IrfanVIew…
# Widgets
I don’t use the feature because it opens links in Edge primarily (it doesn’t matter if you have other browser set as default) and pulls info only from Microsoft sources (MSN, Bing…) so you cannot add third party sources. However you may find it interesting as a weather or news source, so check it out.
# Focus Assist / Do not Disturb
I do not use these functions in Windows, since I configure the OS in the way that I’m not bothered with distractions. It is much more needed in my use case in mobile platforms I use because of calls/messages…
# Phone link
Link your Android (supported Samsung devices) device to Windows. iOS is also supported from recently – You will need to login to your Microsoft account and initial setup takes up to 40 minutes.
You need to have Link to Windows on your device.
In the end you will be able to make calls, send messages, view media, toggle do not disturb or ring settings from your PC on your phone.
# Microsoft Power Automate
Helps you automate workflows between various apps and services, check it out.
